The news got bigger when Vicky’s close friend spilled the beans on their relationship. The source quoted, “They like hanging out but they don’t get a lot of time given that both have busy schedules. But it’s very early for them to declare anything. It’s very new and they’re still seeing where it goes.”

On the other hand, Katrina Kaif is busy prepping up for Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi opposite Akshay Kumar. While Bollywood’s heartthrob Vicky Kaushal has a busy schedule ahead of him with 3 BIG films in the pipeline – Sardar Udham Singh, Karan Johar’s Takht and a horror thriller Bhoot – Part One: The Haunted Ship.

Vicky Kaushal thanked Sardar Udham Singh for changing his life!

So far, Vicky Kaushal is experiencing the best of both worlds. He ushered in 2019 with his critically acclaimed film Uri- The Surgical Strike that literally raised everyone’s josh. He marked the end of the year, grabbing the Best Actor Award for the same film at 66th National Film Awards.

What’s more, is that the superstar is prepping up for his next BIG role as the lead in his upcoming biopic Sardar Udham Singh. In this film, he will be playing Udham Singh, a revolutionary freedom fighter. On the occasion of his 120th birth anniversary, the actor paid tribute to this legendary personality on Instagram.

Not often do we see such salutation given to a film’s character but the heartfelt caption undeniably proves the sheer greatness of the actor-

Adding to this, Vicky Kaushal gave a glimpse of the character from the sets in London. We appreciate how the small details in this picture talk so much about the character. Just like the prominent scar on his face.

On essaying the larger than life character, Vicky Kaushal said,” Since the time I started working as an actor in the industry, there was a wish list of the directors I wanted to work with. Shoojit sir was always on top of that list. So it is like a dream come true that he is finally directing me. And, what better story than Udham Singh! Being a Punjabi, I have always heard about his stories, heard about his life as I was growing up and he has always come across as a mysterious character. The more mysterious a character, the more stimulating it becomes for an actor and the director as well. I am so looking forward to becoming Udham Singh and translating Shoojit sir’s vision. I just feel that this is one person whose life story India should know and I am really excited for this journey to start.”

Helmed by Shoojit Sircar, the film is based on the revolutionary life of Sardar Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O’Dwyer, the former lieutenant governor of Punjab who was responsible for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919. The film goes on floor in October 2020.

Varun Dhawan To Work In Shoojit Sircar’s Next Project

Varun Dhawan, who is currently busy shooting for the movie Judwaa 2 with his father David Dhawan, has apparently bagged a role in Shoojit Sircar’s next project. The star took to Instagram yesterday to share his excitement about working with the ace director on his upcoming project titled 'October'.

The movie will be written by Juhi Chaturvedi who had also written movies like Vicky Donor and Piku for the director. The duo will start working on ‘October’, September onwards. The movie is supposed to be a slice of life love story that will speak to the masses.

This will be the first movie together for Varun and Shoojit and here’s how Varun expressed his excitement, “I have been an ardent fan of Shoojit da's work and have always wanted to work with him. October is a beautiful story in which I play a character with many layers. It's a difficult character to play. I just want to surrender to my part and show people a new side of me. Shoojit da, Ronnie (Lahiri) and Juhi have always made good cinema I feel I feel grateful to join their team.

Shoojit, who has directed movies like Vicky Donor, Piku and Madras Café, has also produced Amitabh Bachchan’s Pink and is now looking forward to working with Varun. Here’s what he had to say, “It is a genre that I have always wanted to delve in. While love and romance have been entwined with Indian cinema, there is abundance in that emotion that everyone can have their own interpretations of. Juhi and I have always tried to create stories from the reflections of real life moments that we see around us. October is another effort to explore those moments out of simple situations of life.

While we cannot wait to see Varun Dhawan is a whole new character, we are excited to hear about the new collaboration.

Amitabh Bachchan starrer Pink’s trailer is out!

Shoojit Sircar who is known for his different movies in Bollywood like Piku and Vicky Donor is ready with his new film Pink with Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu.

The movie is based on a rape case and Big B is seen playing the part of a Lawyer. Taapsee Pannu plays the victim along with Kirti Kulhari and Andrea Taring.

Although there is a lot of research done on Nirbhaya but Pink is not based on the Nirbhaya case. “Nirbhaya is a scar on our hearts and minds & legal system. We went through all the aspects of the Nirbhaya case” Shoojit sircar at the trailer launch of Pink.

Amitabh was also seen supporting education as he feels that is the remedy to such issues in India “The base is somewhere we are losing respect for the female gender. And that can be remedied through education, and through films like Pink to give them the respect and honor and their right place in the society. That’s what we are all working towards. It will take time but it will happen.”

Amitabh Bachchan’s acting and the concept of the movie has set high expectations for the audience. The movie will hit the theatres on 16th September.
