Priyanka Chopra to produce a series based on Madhuri Dixit’s life?

Priyanka Chopra has become a prominent part of the Hollywood industry ever since her television series Quantico went on air.

While she will start shooting for season three soon and is currently working on a rom-com movie Isn’t it romantic with Liam Hemsworth, she has decided to set foot into the production world in collaboration with ABC. And guess what, if that wasn’t enough, here’s the best part. The series is a comedy series based on the Dhak Dhak girl Madhuri Dixit and her life in the US.

That’s right! The story will follow Madhuri Dixit’s life story about her taking a break from the Bollywood industry and settling in the US post her wedding to Dr. Nene. The story will showcase how she adjusted in abroad and how her bi-cultural family functions.

Sri Rao, a writer from the show General Hospital: Night Shift, will write the pilot and executive produce alone with Priyanka, Madhuri and Dr. Nene. Other names in the project include Mark Gordon and Nick Pepper through the Mark Gorden Company(MGC) and ABC studios will co-produce the show.

It also turns out that Madhuri had teased her fans about her upcoming project by tweeting, “Loving downtime in the US. Back up soon with announcements. Till then enjoy”.

We are super excited for this project. Are you?
