Salman Khan’s next Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali became the talk of the town after he shared this news with netizens last month. Helmed by Sajid Nadiadwala, this film is a remake of a popular south Indian film. With a concept like none other, we hear that the script, as well as the storyline, is a convincing one and one to touch your hearts. On catching up with a source, we found out that Salman Khan was offered the film by Farhan Samji. On narrating the concept of the film to him, he got very emotional as the film had a Hindu Muslim angle to it along with a storyline that revolved around four brothers. We hear that “Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali is actually a remake of Ajith starrer ‘Veeram’. The makers had bought the rights to the Tamil film and were planning to make it. They have tweaked the story a bit to suit the title and the pan-India audience. When Salman heard the story, he immediately agreed to be part of this film.”
More so, we learned that Saijd Nadiadwala along with Farhad Samji made some alterations to the scripts. The source quoted, “Initially, an Akshay Kumar starrer Bachchan Pandey was supposed to be a remake of Veeram and was titled Land of Lungi in the beginning. But then, they decided to alter the script and now, Bachchan Pandey is a remake of Jigarthanda, the remake rights of which also lied with NGE. Then, Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali was written as a remake of Veeram, which will now star Salman instead of Akshay.”
Back to Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, the film also stars a fresh cast – Pooja Hegde and Aayush Sharma. The shoot kickstarts August 2020 onwards and releases in Eid 2021.
