Aditya Roy Kapoor is making headlines for all the right reasons. His upcoming film Malang has already got everyone talking. Having said that, his ‘abs’-olutely toned body is something you cannot miss. Juggling between two characters is not as easy as it looks and to achieve a fit body like this always comes with a price. Speaking about his transformation in the film, here’s what the actor has to say.
In a recent interview, he revealed, “(Director) Mohit Suri and I were clear that there will be two different looks, and the character had to go through both mental and physical transformation. Changing physicality actually started changing my state of mind as well, and helped me find the character. All the people I consulted told me that when you’re building muscles, you need eight to 12 weeks completely off everything else when you are training. We started the shoot with the younger portion (of the character), which required me to be lean. I psyched myself to hit the gym even though we were shooting for 12 to 14 hours.”

In the trailer, Aditya Roy Kapoor is seen flaunting his free-spirited vibe on one and revealing his dark macho look on the other. As the film’s narration changes, his character too has altered with it. Waoh! He is clearly setting an example here, isn’t he?
Looks like the actor was ready to risk it all for this film. He further said, “In ‘Malang’, the challenge was that I had to play a character across two different time periods. One where I had to be really lean, and for the other, I had to look really bulky. Having done the lean portion before, I was pretty confident but getting big is an entirely different ball game. The added challenge was that we had to shoot the film pretty quickly and I knew there could be no compromise.”
The action thriller film is directed by Mohit Suri and also stars Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu in the lead roles. Gear up to unleash the madness with Malang as it is releasing tomorrow i.e 7th February 2020.
